A dental X-ray is an X-ray showing the tooth and surrounding tissues in detail. Periapical refers to the root tip. Thanks to this X-ray, the root of the tooth can be examined in detail. It is small in size and is used for the extraction of 2-3 teeth. Details that cannot be seen in the panoramic film can be seen much more clearly in the periapical film. For this reason, it is frequently used in cases such as tooth decay and tooth root infection.
